🍴:
Mon – post-ballet Hampton-made Frenchish dips with TJ’s new shaved lamb shoulder, tots, and arugula
Tues – garlic butter chicken and potatoes with zucchini
Wed – bavette with an apple/beet salad à la Hampton because he found extra already roasted beets I had forgotten about
Thurs – lemongrass-braised chicken with lime rice and sauteed red bell pepper and zucchini
Fri – pork tenderloin with roasted delicata and brussels sprouts
Sat – bacon/mushroom/provolone burgers with homemade sweet potato chips and salad
Sun – beans with pancetta and roasted butternut squash as inspired by this — but with beans because we have so many (best problem ever) and edited to be more Italian as both TJ’s and Harris Teeter were out of sage (’tis the season?) and we had some random lemony/capery compound butter in the fridge.
🥃: because I can’t quit the evil empire, used Prime to get on sale tea at Whole Foods this week. Loving a new-to-me chamomile blend in the evenings to help ration the (much better and well-made) Cauldron Creations. Also, I picked up a focus tea to keep at work, and I keep forgetting it at home. Interpret that at will.

📚: Closing in on my 100th book for the year! Book 98 was the second Stevie Diaz mystery from Sam Evans, and Stevie is still as complicated and compelling as usual. Also, I love that Sam always pays the puppy tax in her newsletters. Hashtag great minds.
🎭: Rehearsals continue for the staged reading of a new musical next weekend.

Sunday, I got to see half of a concert at UNCSA curated by a collaborative piano professor with some of her faculty friends — including my former opera maestro. So nice to hear Jamie get to sing things he has prepared instead of just what we *should* be singing 😉
I had to leave early to head over to the School of Filmmaking to record a phone call for an upcoming student film. This was something new for me, and the director wanted to try a variety of different tones and motivations, so it was super relaxed and a lot of fun.

We recorded in their foley studio, hence all the different flooring and ground covers. So neat!
They film next weekend; toi toi toi, Envoi!
