🍴:

Mon – Hampton went to his first WFU women’s bball game and was to get home as I did after ballet, so we planned a super easy, pad Thai-inspired dinner using leftover peanut sauce from last week mixed with a leftover lemony vinaigrette, extra pre-cooked chicken bought for the torte from last Friday’s party, pan-fried glass noodles, carrot, caramelized maitakes, and quickled cucumber.

Tues – pork tenderloin with roasted murasakis and spouts with a mustardy pan sauce
Thurs – another home WFU ladies’ game. It was slightly later, so we had a snack there and came home for a quick steak and potatoes with mushroom sauce (all prepped earlier) and salad.
Fri – simple ricotta pasta with bacon and charred Brussels inspired by multiple Pins and the Flat 493 fridge.
Sat – sautéed shrimp with tempura veg since we had plenty of fresh green beans and Japanese sweet potatoes. This recipe works like a gem, even if you’re afraid of frying like me.
Sun – We always buy packs of pork tenderloin at Costco, so the second one this week was coated in Chinese five spice and done on the grill pan with some roasted Brussels with leftover peanut vin and twice-baked murasakis.
🥃: TJ’s new sparkling tea bev should not be this good. Co-signed, even my non-tea fan boozy husband.
🐶: I apparently took zero pics of our lazy pups this week? So here’s our neighbors, Dex and Scout —

📚: As mentioned last week, I am super behind on my NetGalley shelf. This week, I knocked out a cute little murder mystery that was way cozier than I expected. Murder Will Out will be a great mid-winter read if you’re into that sort of thing.
🎭: Just when we thought we were done with MMP for the year, a couple of Christmas-themed shows hit the books.
Also, I saw the first half of an A Little Night Music before leaving for holiday choir rehearsal… and it’s still probably my least favorite Sondheim. Will not turn down a couple roles if paid but… yeah. Stereotypes as pointing out the nonsense of comedies of manners or as lazy directing…

Also, as of Sunday night, Hampton is directing The Seagull at Camel City Playhouse, which is in direct conflict with previous house plans. Stay tuned for more 😬
