🍴:
Mon — bacon/smoked gouda burgers with fries and salad

Tues — Hot dang this take on http://fennel-twist.com/2011/06/26/mango-mango-mango-grilled-chile-lime-arctic-char-with-mango-slaw/
Hampton is rather spice averse but decided he wanted habanero in the slaw. Soaked it for a bit in vodka to pull out heat, added corn + peanuts for extra texture, subbed ancho for chipotle on the fish and 👩🍳😘
Wed — Hampton made it to a Wegman’s today, which means sushi-grade tuna for #flat493! Weggy’s seaweed and calamari salads with homemade miso-butter shrooms and simply sautéed zuke and red bell pepper for the bento-inspired win.

Thurs — Hampton wasn’t supposed to have Thursday rehearsals. They scheduled one tonight for 6. He worked ‘til 6. They pushed it back; he left early; TJ’s Sweet Corn, Burrata, and Basil ravioli + speck, some leftover corn, and TJ’s kale pesto for the speedy compromise win.
Fri — When we attempted to thaw out burgers earlier this week, all four stuck together, so we decided to use the extras to make meatballs with leftover flanken ribs, plus miso glazed carrots, pearled barley, and a quickle to make it all work.
Sat — Dinner at the ballpark because UNCSA Prep Dance performed before a Winston-Salem Dash game. It was changed to a double header because of rain Friday so we didn’t actually see the performance but we still got the group ticket hot dog, chips, and soda.
Sun — IP carnitas with a schmear of TJ’s new avo mash, some coco/lime rice, black beans, and tostones that didn’t quite work as well as usual but my gringa self learned something.
🥃:

Not an actual drink. Still a liquid. Only funny if you are Hampton and/or caught up on Righteous Gemstones.
🐶:

📚: I haven’t finished any books since last weekend’s white-lady-thriller-a-thon, but I am in the midst of another and also a really great futuristic YA.
🎭: Finally got to see some dear friends in CTG’s HAIRSPRAY on Saturday, including my RENT pookie who absolutely killed it as Motormouth Maybelle, even if she is far too young.

Also, week two of three of Easter-season choir gigs.
