🍴:
Mon – coq au vin blanc meatballs with mash and cider-braised carrots
Tue – broth and Jello for me, Domino’s for Hampton
Wed – Hampton-created orecchiette with bacon and sliced Brussels sprouts in a light cream sauce with leftover Domino’s garlic bites.
Thur – Swedish pizza salad with TJ’s garlic gondolas topped with prosciutto, pizza sauce on the side.
Fri – Hampton attempted to make our Tuscan fave, peposo, for the first time. He… did not exactly listen to the nonnas and it was maybe a little dry, but that’s ok.
Sat – out with most of the folks with whom we’ll be headed to Vietnam in two-and-a-half weeks! (waiter not included)
Sun – crispy chicken thighs with braised cabbage (the end of the head from last week), mushrooms, bacon, and beans from our bean club.

🐶: We could not find Raspberry this afternoon. Air Tag was being sus. As I came around the front of the house from the alley it connected and implied she was directly behind the house in the alley. Headed through the house and out back and…

I regret not getting a picture through that busted door that was held shut with equally busted plant pots. Like, she found a hole in the side and was all LEMME FIT IN HERE. hashtag chihuahua 🤷♀️
📚: What He Left Behind, Benjamin Bradley — I have been lucky enough to pre-read most of Bradley’s works and this one, yet again, does not disappoint. His writing constantly elevates whodunnits to speak to the human condition… and I’m not just saying this because the protagonist’s constant inner monologue reminds me of my own brain that never shuts up. Out April 29!
🎭: as mentioned – I was on a podcast about showtunes. And ballet was un-snowed out this week! Intermediate is still… a lot for my brain trying to remember things after 30 years… but so, so good.
