I swear this isn’t me.

I have had a number of physical doppelgängers in my life. Back when I was waiting tables, I looked like everyone’s cousin or brother’s girlfriend or that girl down the street who used to babysit and play soccer. It doesn’t help that I change my hair color on the regular and look completely different depending on glasses and updos.

As a poppy high belter, I can’t deny that a lot of us have similar singing voices.

But this is 100% the first time I have heard someone whose speaking voice is an echo of my own. Even my husband and mother did the dog head tilt. Nevermind the fact that I currently have a wavy bob, want to be grey, and would 100% wear those glasses on the regular.

AND — her middle name.

Best of all the wishes to you, Bethany Tesarck. Live long and prosper on musical theatre paychecks.
