I miss those halcyon days of 2016… when the evil that is the NC GOP passed HB2 and the country revolted against this “bathroom bill”. Musicians cancelled concerts, sports leagues moved tournament games, and it’s estimated this bs move cost the state nearly four billion dollars.

And now? Now the NC GOP is stripping rightfully elected officials of their power, while pretending to help the western part of the state deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but not actually giving them any money, and hate is the name of the game, according to the 77 million people who voted in the orange menace.

How did we get to this point.

How.

How is it that eight years ago the country knew a state making laws about where trans people can relieve themselves was wrong, and now a Representative who used to stand for LGBTQ+ rights is doing the same dang thing on Capitol Hill?

How did multiple Supreme Court justices rule that Roe v. Wade was settled law and then renege? If most of us lied during a job interview and got caught, we’d be fired. And “giving it back to the states” is a bold face lie when states are doing everything they can to NOT do what their voters want.

And this is just some of it.

I am So. Tired. of being angry. Rage fatigue is real.

But that’s what they want.

And eff

That.

Noise.

Rest when you need, but keep fighting. Make resolutions for the revolution.
